I want to Travel

Image
30th July 2019 To those who are no longer with me,  I want to travel, and let’s face it, who doesn't? I want to go everywhere I can possibly can, and again, who doesn't. I love the idea of being free and I think travelling would give me that. Now don't get me wrong, it's not like I've not travelled, I've just barely travelled is all. I've been abroad twice in my life and for this wannabe free spirit that is not nearly enough.  On the Last day in Cyprus, 2013 On 1st May 2013 I went to Cyprus for two weeks, which, as it was with college and we were tour military school and give workshops and putting on shows, was more of a working holiday than anything else. I was great, I loved it. I have so many amazing memories and photos, I'll see if I can find some to add to the end of this post, but, as much as I loved being there, it wasn't a holiday, it wasn't a destination that I had chosen for myself and it wasn't with the people I ...

Minor Creations

Image
Hello!  Welcome to a very different post.  This may be a post you see around here from time to time, and I hope you all don't mind.  Say Hi to Paige!  I have this friend, one of my very best friends actually, and she is a crochet genius, among other things. Her name is Paige and today I am here to tell you all about her little business: Minor Creations. When I said that Paige was a crochet genius, I meant it. Not only does she crochet such things as baby blanket and door stops, Paige come up with her own ideas too. Like her new reusable face Scrubbie that she asked me to trial a couple of weeks ago when I popped in for a visit while I was home. The idea behind it was that, being made from 100% cotton it would be soft on the skin, while also exfoliating the skin. I can say, hand on heart, after using it for nearly three weeks: it works! As someone who has sensitive and eczema prone skin, after the first time I used this little Scrubbie, my face...

Summer Love

23rd July 2019 To those who are no longer here,  Welcome to your first pet peeve. This is going to be a short post because although this pisses me off, I don't have an awful lot to say on this particular pet peeve of mine. What is it about summer that makes people think they need to be in love in order to truly enjoy it? This is just something I will never be able to understand. You can all sit there on your high horses and call me cynical if you would like, you do you, but I, for the foreseeable future, will remain baffled by it. When summer comes, social media is flooded with loved up and happy summer couples. They go travelling together, make amazing memories, take Instagram worthy pictures together. Then, autumn arrives and just like Thanos and his snap, you never see any of these couples again. They just vanish. Summer is over and so is the love. Is that really any way to live? I think not. Now, I know I have never had a summer fling but that doesn't mean I...

I'm a Make-up Addict, With A New Make-up Haul....Not Sorry.

16th July 2019 To those who are no longer with me,  What is a make-up haul I hear you ask? At 22:31pm on Thursday 2nd May, I shamelessly bought £46.20 worth of make-up, with the complete intention to buy more. Now, please, don't think I am made of money, that is far from the trust, as we have already established, I am awful with money and do not save it when I should. More often than not, I almost certainly end up spending it on make-up, and this case, all I needed was a new highlighter.  I bought four, and maybe a few other things along the way.  Shameless I know, already called it, but I'm not even sorry.  I love make-up. I never used to. I have a memory of my sister and her friends chasing me around the house trying to force me into wearing eyeliner and I was terrified. Now, I know more about make-up than she does. She asked for make-up and make-up brushed for her birthday once and doesn't use them because she doesn't know how...

The Second Week of My Holiday

Image
9th July 2019 To those we are no longer with me,  So, this is a very, very late post. Nearly three weeks late to be exact, but since coming back from my holiday, not going to lie, I've been extremely, I really want to say busy but that would be a big lie. Lazy, I've been lazy. But anyway, here is the second week of my holiday.  Somewhere around Snowdon.  On Sunday we didn't really have a set plan so we decided to go on another of our drives. We were planning to explore Caernarfon Castle later in the week, so we started our drive around by figuring out how to get to the castle so that we didn't waste any of the day later on in the week. After we literally drove round the castle we headed out of Caernarfon and towards the coast. We stopped off at a little place called Dille where it was way too windy to get out of the car and enjoy the views so we pulled into a car park and enjoyed a bag of chips for lunch before heading off into the mountains. I mean th...

The First Week of My Holiday

Image
2nd July 2019 To those who are no longer with,  Now, I know this is titled 'The First Week of My Holiday' however, technically it's my second. I came home from University on the 15th June so that I was home in time for Father's Day. I spent the following week at home catching up with best friends I hadn't seen in while. I don't think I have felt this social in a long, long time. I apologise in advance if this turns out to be quite a lengthy post! Favourite Floof Tuesday, I went to my friend Paige's, who lives about eight miles outside of my home town and whom I hadn't seen since April, so I went and spent the day with her, her adorably perfect daughter, and her even more adorably perfect dogs. She is one of my best friends and I adore her so much because we can both just sit there, watching films, do our own things, not necessarily even talking, just enjoying each other's company and its perfect. Especially if my favourite floof cho...

Water
Everything on the earth bristled, the bramble
pricked and the green thread
nibbled away, the petal fell, falling
until the only flower was the falling itself.
Water is another matter,
has no direction but its own bright grace,
runs through all imaginable colors,
takes limpid lessons
from stone,
and in those functionings plays out
the unrealized ambitions of the foam.
